In newer homes, ball valves are increasingly common. A handle controls the placement of a hollow, perforated sphere in a ball valve. Water flow is immediately opened or closed when the handle is turned. We are the leading butterfly valve supplier in Nigeria.
When the valve is open, the handle is flat, aligned with the flow, and when it is closed, it lies perpendicular to the flow. In shut-off and control applications, they are often used.
Butterfly Valves
With a rotating metal disc (nicknamed the “butterfly”) mounted on a rod, butterfly valves are similar to ball valves. Butterfly valves that close block the flow of water, while those that are open allow it to flow by rotating the disc a quarter turn. In the family of quarter-turn valves, the butterfly valve includes.
The butterfly valve is lighter and less expensive than the ball valve, but less durable and slower to operate. Industrial applications tend to use them more than residential ones.
Aira Euro Automation is the leading butterfly valve supplier in Nigeria. We offer various types of industrial valves like ball valves, butterfly valves, control valves, pressure reducing valves, plug valves, globe valves, and many more.
Check Valves
A check valve, also known as a non-return valve or one-way valve, allows only one direction of flow and automatically prevents backflow if the fluid in the line reverses direction. For backflow prevention in pumps, safety applications, and lawn sprinkler systems, check valves often use small, simple, and inexpensive devices.

Gate Valves
Older houses are more likely to have gate valves, also known as sluice valves. In most cases, the water flow rate control round knob that lowers or raises an internal gate or wedge as it turns. Gate valves are commonly found on garden hose spigots.
Gate valves allow customers to control the rate of water flow, such as slow trickles instead of full flow, but they don’t provide an immediate stop. Typically, they use with pipes with a diameter of two inches or larger.
Globe Valves
Stop valves are globe valves that contain a stem that controls a disc inside the mechanism. In spite of the name “globe”, many globe valves do not have a spherical design, although the valve body often bulges. In addition to outdoor residential faucets, boilers, and cooling water systems, they are easy to maintain and have effective throttling and shutoff capabilities.
Pressure Relief Valves
A pressure relief valve, also called a pressure reducing valve, reduces the water pressure in plumbing systems to a specific level. Pressure relief valves may need in homes that receive high-pressure water from municipal sources to prevent damage to plumbing and appliances, such as burst pipes or constantly running toilets.
Safety Valve
Designed to control the pressure in operation, safety valves are protection equipment. A valve such as this prevents overpressure from causing explosions or other damage to people or the environment. A safety valve opens automatically when the set pressure exceeds. When all other protection devices fail, a safety valve is the last useful device. In the event of overpressure, the disc of the valve opens to release the fluid and restore the normal pressure situation. Upon reducing pressure below a set pressure, the valve closes again.
An external actuator or device not require to open or close a safety valve. Gas storage tanks, pressure vessels, boilers, and piping systems benefit from safety valves. For safety valves, there are different standards, such as ASME or API 526.
