No AirFlow in Vape Pen Cartridge? Follow These Steps

We all know CBD vape cartridge is the future of cannabis consumption. But, if you’re experiencing an airflow in vape pen cartridge issue, it can seem like the end. This blog post will provide you with some helpful tips to get your CBD vape pen working again!

Check the connections between the battery and cartridge.

Check that your cartridge is threaded correctly into the battery or USB charger, as these can become loose over time. If either seems out of place, you might need a replacement part!

Prime the Vape pen cartridge

Some CBD oil cartridges may need to be primed before use. If you try using a cartridge and it doesn’t seem as if anything is coming out, the CBD oil might not have been fully absorbed into the wick material.

To prime your cartridge, follow these steps:

  • Remove the mouthpiece from the CBD vape pen battery
  • Fill a syringe with CBD vape oil and squeeze a few drops into the cartridge (the filling slot is on top of the mouthpiece area)
  • Allow your CBD vape pen to soak in for around 60 seconds before using

Avoid overfilling the vape pen cartridge.

There might also be an issue with airflow if you’ve filled it too full! CBD oil has a thick consistency, so avoid overfilling the CBD vape pen cartridge.

Check the mouthpiece for dirt, debris, or other obstructions.

If the mouthpiece is dirty, try cleaning it with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol. When returning to vaping after cleaning your CBD vaporizer pen cartridge, let the device sit for about half an hour before using it again. This will allow any excess moisture to evaporate from the atomizer.

Check if there is a clogged air hole in the atomizer.

If there is a clogged air hole, check if the CBD oil has an oily residue. This can indicate that it is not vaporizing properly. Hence, you will need to clean out your vape pen with a q-tip. You can also use another CBD cartridge if there is damage done by unclogging the CBD oil.

Ensure there is enough CBD oil the vape pen cartridge

If you’re using a disposable pod-style device, make sure it’s not empty or nearing its end of life span (if so, replace it!). Lack of airflow in your CBD vape pen cartridge may arise from a simple lack of CBD e-liquid.

Make sure the connection between the battery and the cart is secure.

When a CBD cartridge doesn’t heat up, the root cause is often a loose connection. Make sure that you screw in your CBD vape pen battery tightly to ensure it isn’t going anywhere before trying anything else!

If that fails, try swapping out the CBD cartridge for another one. If you’re using a vape pen with replaceable cartridges, your issue could be isolated to this part of the device. Try replacing it! You can get CBD oil carts in many different varieties. So, there’s no reason not to experiment and find what works best for you!

Try changing your vape pen’s voltage settings.

Vape pens are relatively simple devices. If you don’t have airflow, it’s likely due to low voltage settings on your vape pen. It can also be an incorrectly assembled CBD cartridge and vaporizer device (the mouthpiece is not attached correctly). Consequently, increasing the voltage setting of your CBD vape pen cartridge could be the best way to solve this problem. Nevertheless, the increase in voltage setting should be within the recommended range for vaping the concentrate. For example, you should vape CBD at voltage settings within the scope of 3.4 to 4.2 volts depending on the type of vaporizer (variable voltage, triple temperature control). The reason is that higher voltage settings could cause combustion of CBD. It will naturally lead to a burnt flavor and inconsistent dosing. Burning the substance means that you’re also consuming harmful chemicals such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).

When you change your CBD vape pen’s voltage, make sure to start at a low setting. Gradually work your way up until you notice an improvement in the heating process for your cartridge or vape device.

Conclusion

The 24 hour vape shop suggests that the first step to fixing a vape pen cartridge without airflow is identifying the problem. If your e-cig feels hot or you see blue light coming from it, then the heating coil inside the cart has probably burned out and needs to be replaced with a new one. However, if there’s no heat at all when you try to use an empty tank, then there may just not have been any juice left in that particular cartridge. In this case, follow these instructions for cleaning and drying your vape before using a different pre-filled pod to continue vaping.
