When Is the Best Time to Post on Facebook in 2022?
There’s no standard strategy when you’re trying to determine the best time for posting on Facebook.
Each Facebook page is distinct and has different users’ cities, locations, and time zones to consider. Some encourage posts on the weekend, and some claim that the most effective time for posting on Facebook is at 9 am, regardless of the time.
Here at Later, Our social team discovered that the best time for posting Facebook Facebook is between 6 am and 12 pm PST.
“It will really be determined on where your audience is located,” says Later’s Social Content Manager, Christine Colling (more on this later).
You’ll also be careful not to post when your followers are not online, which is the most unpopular time you can post to Facebook. These could be days of sleep or long weekend days when your target audience is less likely to be on through the app click here.
This means that determining your optimal time to post to Facebook is essential to increase the chance of people noticing and participating in your posts.
How Do I Find My Best Time to Post on Facebook?
To figure out the ideal time when you can post your content on Facebook, you’ll have to do some research (and some testing) to find out the times when your followers are most active.
To help you get going, Here are three tried-and-true techniques:
- Use Facebook Page Insights to Find Top Engagement Times
- Check Facebook Audience Insights for Optimal Timezones
- Try experimenting with posting times and measure Your Progress
Use Facebook Page Insights to Find Top Engagement Times
Facebook Page Insights has tons of information that can help you understand the performance of your Facebook Page -that can assist you in finding your best posting times!
Knowing when your audience is most engaged is an excellent indicator of the best time to publish your content.
This information can be found when you open your Facebook page and select “Insights.”
On the left, you’ll see different sections of Page Insights. The right-hand side displays chart and graphs.
Go to the “Your 5 Most Recent Posts” section. This will display a graph that shows when you’re followers online:
If you move your mouse over the calendar in the upper right-hand corner of the Page, you’ll be able to determine which days bring the most engagement for your Page.
Facebook also monitors your posts’ engagement and reach to determine which times your followers are the most likely to respond by commenting, liking, or sharing your content.
To view this metric, to see this metric, click “Posts” from your Page Insights, then scroll into “All Posts Published”:
Be sure to pay particular attention to the Published column timestamp. It will tell you when the post was posted on your Facebook page and is an excellent method to track the time when your followers are most likely to interact with your posts.
Check Facebook Audience Insights for Optimal Time zones
Facebook Audience Insights was created to help you plan and optimize your Facebook advertising campaigns; however, it’s also an ideal starting point to determine your audience’s location and the most popular time zones.
In contrast to Page Insights, which monitors interactions with your Page through comments, reactions, and shares, Audience Insights analyzes your potential or current audience’s gender, age, and, most importantly, their geographical location across Facebook.
Go to “See All Insights” to start the Auditor Insights dashboard.
If you want to find out more about your current social media followers, we suggest the latter!
Scroll down to discover the top cities and nations where your followers reside. This can be very helpful in finding your most popular time zones and identifying the times when your followers are more likely online and active.
For example, Christine notes, “most of our audience on Facebook are from the USA, UK, and South Africa, so posting when those three countries are online has worked best for us.”
If you discover that most of your followers live on the western coast of North America, consider experimenting by posting in your PST time zone. https://www.betaposting.com/
Try experimenting with posting times and measure Your Progress.
When you’ve got a clear concept of where your target customers are in the world, it’s time to play around and assess your performance!
We suggest making a spreadsheet to track the amount of engagement you get at different times and on other days.
Start by selecting five times during the week.
For example, if you observe that your users are the most active between 5-9 pm EST, you can schedule your posts for 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 pm.
Track your spreadsheet within your Excel spreadsheet to see how many comments and likes each post has received and the dates and times you published them.
