The Five Principal Obligations of Islam

When these five obligations, also known as “The Five Pillars of Islam,” are faithfully, accurately, and wholeheartedly carried out by a Muslim, they have the power to transform that person’s life and bring it into harmony with the intentions of the Creator. A Quran teacher should be motivated to work toward establishing justice, equality, and righteousness in society and eradicating injustice, falsehood, and evil if they practice these obligations with sincerity and faithfulness.

Oneness of Allah and Prophet (PBUH)

The Shahada is the religious profession of faith knowingly and voluntarily.

This declaration includes the fundamental idea of tawhid and the concept of risalah. This affirmation is the foundation for all actions in Islam; the other four fundamental duties follow directly after it.

Pray five times

The following are the five prayers daily:

Fajr – between dawn and sunrise
